Heart of Burgundy is done each week of the season. It is done by Caprice beginning April 3. Lorraine takes over from June 12 to Jul7 10. Caprice comes back July 24 and does Heart of Burgundy for the rest of the season.

Our Dijon-Besançon cruise is the first leg of our transition of Lorraine from Burgundy to Alsace. It is possible to do a 2 week cruise combining both segments of this transition phase. The shore excursions are exceptional. Years ago we did this cruise as a weekly itinerary. You will explore Dijon, the canal center of Ste Jean de Losne, Louis Pasteur's house, Arc et Senans (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Jura wine capital of Arbois, the museum dedicated to Impressionist Painter Gustave Corbet, and the very scenic town of Besancon with it's 3 world heritage sites. 60% canal

Besançon to Mulhouse

Our cruise begins in Besançon and ends in Mulhouse. During this special week you will visit the world heritage city of Besançon, visit a museum dedicated to impressionist painter Gourbet, visit a chateau, stop by the Peugeot Museum followed by a visit to the assembly line to see modern auto production, do a wine tasting, visit the largest auto museum in the world stop by a unique steam train museum.

You will have plenty of time to explore the tow path charms as this cruise is 90% canal.
